Round 3 - Game day with Colts Head Coach Brad Dodd, supported by Ocean Hill Estate

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 - 11:45 AM

Peel Thunder v Perth - Round 3

PE 15.12  102    d    PT  8.9  57

The Ocean Hill Estate - Peel Thunder Colts were back at home last Sunday, taking on the Perth Demons at Bendigo Bank Stadium. After the game, we spoke with Head Coach, Brad Dodd.

Plenty of opportunities for the forwards in the first quarter, with 15 Inside 50s, but Peel couldn’t hit the scoreboard, scoring just 2 behinds.

BD: It was a frustrating start to the game. Our forwards were collapsing in on each other, which made it easier to defend and when we were getting shots, we weren’t converting. We had 2 set shots go out on the full.

Almost the opposite in the 2nd Quarter when Perth dominated field position but the Thunder were efficient going forward.

Round 3 - Senior Development Match Report with Head Coach Daniel Haines

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 - 11:24 AM

Peel Thunder Senior Development - Round 3 v Perth

PE 15.5 95    d   PT 10.13 73

A disappointing finish to the game after a promising start.  We had more inside 50's and more scoring shots than Perth but didn't capitalize on those opportunities when the game was there to be won in the third quarter.

Goals to Perth late in the quarters cost us and is something we will need to address during the bye break. Read More [+]

Travelling to Steel Blue oval is never easy and with three players promoted up to the League team, after quality performances in Round 1, we knew Swans would be a tough assignment.

Keegan Power,  in for his first game after a year at South Mandurah, played a solid game on the wing and will be better for the run.   Joel O'Driscoll also played his first game back at the club, after a few Premierships with Pinjarra Read More [+]
