The Peel Thunder Football Club are excited about luring midfielder Brendon Jones out of retirement and has committed to signing a new one year deal, keeping him at Bendigo Bank Stadium until the end of the 2014 season.

Brendon is really happy to have signed for another year, and looks forward to working with the young talented players coming through and will provide great leadership and direction for the player group.

Brendon is looking forward to next season, getting back into training and working really hard over the coming months because as a club we know we are heading in the right direction.

Brendon is highly regarded by the coaching staff, playing group and supporters and it’s great to have him recommit for another year, Brad Bootsma said.

Brendon’s work ethic and competitive nature has not only seen him develop into one of the best midfielders in the competition, he’s also a great leader and role model for our club and which will show our younger players the way to prepare and play to be the competitive in this WAFL competition.

I think Brendon’s decision to commit on for one more year gives you an insight into his character and the values he holds as a footballer and person," Bootsma said.
