THE bevy of emerging talent at Peel Thunder has been recognised with eight players selected to participate in the upcoming WAFL Under 16s All Stars match this Sunday at ATOM Stadium.

The clash will play a key role in the selection for the state’s Under 16s squad ahead of the National Championships in July.

Of the 46 players selected for the clash, Peel’s representatives are:

Aaron NAUGHTON (Rockingham)

Jordan BOULLINEAU (Baldivis)

Jakeb SHINE (HBL)

Billy CHAMBERS (Pinjarra)

Jack NORMAN (Rockingham)

Zavier WILLIAMS (HBL)

Jarryd CALVER (Mustangs)

Lachlan SHARPE (Harvey Bulls)

In a nod to the club’s regional development program, five players are from the Peel region and three players from the South West.

Club Development Manager John Deitz said the selection of eight emerging stars was a fantastic reflection on the club’s programs, and the work of the coaching group.

“It is a really positive sign for our club that players within our development system are being recognised as attractive prospects for state football,” Deitz said.

“We look forward to strong showings from the boys in the All Stars game and we hope a large contingent of Peel players are selected in the final Team WA Under 16s squad.”
