LEAGUE TEAM REPORT

 PT 19.11 defeated EP 7.6

Although the score line reflects a win by 77 points (the biggest victory by a Peel team against EP in our history) and a score of 19.11 (125) which is the highest score by a Peel team against EP in our history it was in fact a keen tussle until well into the third quarter with only 2 goals the difference at about the 15 minute mark of Q3.

Our performance came off the back of a very disappointing Q1 the previous week against Subiaco. We were pleased to start the game strongly and hold a nineteen point lead at quarter time. We increased the lead at each break and ran away with the game in the last quarter kicking the last eight goals of the game.

We were pleased that we had 12 goalkickers, headed by Schultz, Bell and Ugle with 3 each. The forward pressure was highlighted and lead by Ryan Bennell and Brayden Lawler. Our midfield was assisted by Sean Darcy and Scott Jones  controlling the ruck and Crowden, Blakely and North do well in the clearances.

It was great to have Griffin Logue back in defence and the backs were enjoying the help of a desperate midfield and forward line applying pressure on the EP players. Brennan Cox and Jason Carter provided great rebound.

Now to our next game in a fortnights time against Claremont with both teams on 3 wins. Its going to be a big game, and one we are looking forward to.
