The players have shown great energy and commitment in preparation for the 2019 WAFL season.  We are really pleased with the quality of the playing group.

Standouts since training began in November have been Ben Hancock, Jarvis Pina, Jake Howes, Andrew Butler and Ray Guidice.  We have over the last couple of weeks also welcomed in Jackson Merrett and he is settling in nicely.

Ben Howlett, Blair Bell, Corey Morris along with Gerald Ugle and Brayden Lawler continue to drive the standards for our young group.  We have seen the continued improvement from Billy Chambers and Brynne Osborne.  We are now getting ready to prepare for games and are educating the game plan to the group.

Harrison Gillett our strength and conditioning coach has the group in good nick with very few in the rehab group.  Young leaders in Jordan Boullineau, Matt Piggott are working hard with the colts coming through.

It’s been great having the support of  Daniel Haines and Mark Tilbury from a coaching aspect.  Whilst Andrew Stone, Michael Griffiths and Nigel Wilson are working hard to upskill the group.

We have also welcomed Matt Bogensperger from Subiaco and he has joined in seamlessly and will be a great asset for us.

We are looking forward to March 10 for our first hitout against West Coast at David Grays Arena and I urge everyone to get to the club to support the team.

Go Thunder!
